The Overwatch League is heading to New York for the grand finals

The location of the Overwatch League season one grand final has been confirmed. The finals will take place in Brooklyn on July 27-28.

Blizzard are donating proceeds from the new Pink Mercy skin to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

The first season of the Overwatch LEague will come to an end on June 17. After that, a postseason will begin on July 11, featuring six teams. After that, two finalists will feature at the season one finals, fighting for the Overwatch League trophy. The finals will take place at Barclays Center, the home stadium of Brooklyn’s NBA team, the Nets.

The final will take the form up to three best-of-five series. The first match will take place on Saturday, July 27, beginning at 20:00 EDT. The second and potential third series will take place the next day, beginning at 16:00 EDT on July 28.

In a press release, OWL commissioner Nate Nanzer said “the Overwatch League Grand Finals will be an eoic experience for fans and viewers,” and states that Blizzard “want this to be the pinnacle of esports.” Tickets to the two-day event go on sale via Ticketmaster and Barclays Center on May 18, at 10:00 EDT.
