Stellaris review snippet How good is the Stellaris story?
I got lost in the world of Stellaris. Where do we come from? Why are we here? What do we want to achieve? After 5 long exploratory hours I came to an answer... I am the destroyer of worlds, the darkness in the night, devouring civilizations in the quest to find the answer to a question I don't know. While the combat is limited, the pure depth of this game is unfathomable. You WILL create a story that fits the civilization you create, and if you take the game at a slow and steady pace like a great John Scalzi novel you will love every minute of your time here. Convert civilizations to your cause, manipulate the universe to your bidding and truly explore the vastness of space with all of it's consequences. If you want something a little more fast paced and nuclear stick with Civ5 but if you want to jump into a true Sci-fi novel try this out, it's worth it.

Doom review snippet Just how violent is Doom?
DOOM is an awesome addition to the 'Doom' franchise. Fast, bloody and nerve-racking. I was nervous at first, but became comfortable kicking demon ass near the end of my demonic adventure. But sadly it's not as fast-paced or bloody as Bulletstorm even though I feel it follows the same idea of go to one area, clear out the baddies and move onto the next. If you love the idea of playing the dirty demon-bashing-baby of the father-of-games, get it! In the end I'm loving my time with DOOM so far and will probably play it for a long time but really it ain't really nothing new.
