Exactly. Unfortunately, as obvious as that is to most, somehow there is always some idiot doing pointless censoring...
Yes, it happens and is ubiquitous in other forms of fiction. Is gaming sacred or something? It shouldn't be, if it's going to be art then it shouldn't be censored either. If the prudes and feminists don't like it they always have the option.
Besides there's a shitload of people that lose their lives in extremely brutal ways in Hotline Miami, a rape though a brutal act as well is not the worst thing in the game.
Hmm, I somehow doubt they will release an "official" version for pirating, so are they leaving gamers to torrent god-knows-what onto their pristine hard-drives? (I don't pirate, so I don't know how secure this method is. Not being smug or angry, just explaining how I may have missed something obvious).
The idea that pirated releases are full of destructive malware and will blow up hard drives left and right is mostly fabricated by the people who want to keep gamers from piracy. It would probably be less harmful if they were just honest.
Shady torrents are usually easily identifiable, I used to see them all the time when downloading South Park( new episodes don't get to the site til next morning and I don't live in the US.), usually they'll have questionable file sizes and executable files that make no sense.
"This includes, bewilderingly, in-game and ambient music. "
Was a good run...
