i was wondering how nvidia was gonna gimp the 10 series. thought it was gonna be with tensor cores but raytracing wont be here till the 12 series at least. then i saw a review of the titan v and they said that it supported async compute much better. the way gamers nexus put it "looks like an async compute future for volta". async is only helpful when you have a lot of cores going idle all the time. the 580 has twice the "cores" as the 1060. so maybe nvidia has partnered up with dice on bf v to up the support for async which will get the most out of the new 11 series and put the 10 series further behind, or maybe nvidias driver people just need to get a hold of it because driver tweaks are a big part of nvidias perf. and no im not an amd fanboy. i bought the gpu that nvidia put out to kill the vega 56 (1070 ti) and the cpu that intel put out to keep the gaming crown (8700k). but i know nvidia and they will try to make the 10 serise obsolete as fast as possible. by the time they do i will be on to something else so i dont really care. hope amd has something decent for a decent price though or nvidia will milk us dry. plus i actually do have a freesync 2 1440p monitor that i would like to pair with an amd gpu . but then again high fps isnst usually amds thing. >sigh<
