What a bunch of graphomanian trash. So much efforts and still 1-3 comments evrytime somone links to another bollocks on this site. To the point.

We , console gamers amateurs of stable platform Won. Now we have more options with hardware but in stable, targeted manner, old software running better. pc holy crusaders Arguments " after so many years yo can buy this for only that instead of console" is knocked out. Now beutyfull console ecosystms will thirve even more through entire cycle of generation to create even more stunning games . There is something for pc gamers too, HW manufacturers will find even more ways to upsell you overpriced hardware. At least yo can whine again about aples vs oranges; " gtx750 for entire gen, 780prepared for dx12 " en much more food for ethusiast who thinks they undersand something besides marketing slides. Thats after the break for signing the petiotion and celebration cuz gamepad support. Thats how console gaming won xd Ohh an console is not a pc despite having similar blocks, go check presentation about hacking ps4, " Pc is 30years of crap, console is clean sheet design" but thats from bright minds and not some media hot take wannabe ... and still few comments.ouch

It was for about 2 days, but you weren't there so I wouldn't expect you to know. The vocal minority ruined the whole "movement" for everyone, conveniently sweeping the question of ethics in journalism right under the rug, that story isn't as exciting as anonymous idiots being asses on the internet. Then, anyone who still bothered with ethics was attached to the gamergate name, so they got lumped in with the vocal minority, furthering the divide

BraveToaster Avatar

Yeah, and the Watergate scandal started because a security guard noticed the wrong thing. What's your point? Gamergate wasn't initially a mindless hate train, but it did get hijacked pretty quickly. I understand why you'd be touchy about it, though. And to the guy below, I've never been anything but distanced to the whole gamergate thing, I'm just an observer. It's common knowledge that ethics in journalism is a shaky thing, I didn't want to waste my time with some stupid "movement" that lost all traction within a few days.

It was literally started because some dude was mad a girl broke up with them. If the vocal majority was worried about ethics, they should probably, idk, start a new hashtag.

Stop updating a broken and dated game, make a new dam game already, those of us who were addicted to this game years ago played it to death and aren't coming back.

Who will win: Strafe, or the allure of '90s shooter nostalgia?Who will win: Strafe, or the allure of '90s shooter nostalgia?

I'm pretty interested in this game, but my one concern is procedural generation. The map design is a massive part of what made those old school shooters so great. Procedural generation tends to be pretty lame in 3D environments, in my experience. I hope they figured out a way through thisReply
Phil Iwaniuk Avatar

I share that concern with procedural generation in general, but didn't find those elements impacted my enjoyment here.

Strafe's levels don't feel like John Romero levels, but they also don't feel completely random, jumbled, or... procedural. It's more that they're mostly set levels with a few possible variables in each room/corridor.

I deal with this by

1. savescumming

2. play all tacticool

3. always expect the worst

buy xcom 2 for $12 it's really worth it, the dlc is worthless, probably

Get xcom 2, play it for the tutorial it is. Install Long War 2, and sit back for the 200 hour ride it takes you on.
