It is a sport. A mind sport or even one might say a Team Sport, but a sport nonetheless.
Just because they aren't football or basketball doesn't make them any less of a sport. I mean if Extreme Ironing or Competitive Eating is classified as sport, why isn't eSPORTs ?
Like I said it all depends on what dictionary you go by and I suppose how passionately you cling to that definition. Also Competitive eating, not a sport. Extreme ironing, yes a sport.
They aren't sports. A sport requires physical exertion as well as skill. They are games. That being said it all depends on which dictionary you go by as to whether this backs up which side of the sport/not sport argument you argue for.
