Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 3: release date, gameplay, multiplayer - everything we know
The best way to pull off the mix between DoW1/DoW2 is simple. Start off the game having a large army (but not as large as DoW1) for the first few missions, then either take command of a DoW1 sized army (or larger) in one mission branch, or go smaller squad size in another mission branch. Who knows? maybe on some of these missions you choose, you'll either see a larger number of your sides' forces in the distance, or have a short run-in with the small squad before you go your separate ways.
