Chess is considered a full-fledged sport, even though competitors are seated (and barely moving), so I don't see the problems with professional videogames being called esport. Not to mention some games like CS and fighting games require impressive motor skills and reflexes.
I don't know why but this trailer got me so emotional
They tell me I'm so family-friendly, everybody wants to invite me to classy dinners.
The synopsis sounds like the devs are stuck up their own arse, mocking many moments from the recent gaming history (fish ai on CoD, air drops in H1Z1, non-game stuf...). I need to see more of it to form an opinion but if it's being hipster just for the sake of it, the game might not have the brightest future.
What's next - surgeon simulator isn't realistic?
I don't think they are being serious! They are taking advantage of children's interest to spread some knowledge. Maybe they are pitching for an igNobel?
Frictional Games have published a brand new trailer for their upcoming game SOMA, displaying a cryptic computer terminal, a radio transmission, a hammerhead shark... wait, what?
Actually, I've bought a retail game last week. It was Diablo 3, the game was on discount at the local videogame store, grabbed it for less than 20eur.
Might be because the digital version was 15eur last week!
