If anything, this game 'might' end up being the biggest let down of the year. So much hype surrounds the game yet it has so many flaws that we know of.
1) No player trading
2) Only a small portion of Manhattan will be available at release (Even though Brooklyn and others have been already shown off)
3) Lack of any information about end-game
4) Bullet sponges. 5 clips to take down a single enemy?
5) No clans/guilds or any other type of communities within the game. Wait, you thought this was an MMO?
I'll wait until at least the beta and then probably until after release to see if it is actually worth buying. Remember this is Ubisoft and their game launches are usually not so smooth.
Agreed I'll wait for the reviews. Evolve was also hyped a lot, even after release too. Now it's dead.
Windows 10 is not free, you are paying with your personal information. They can see which websites you visit, movies you watch, in fact they can see every single file on your system. Even better if you have signed in with a Microsoft account, and stored your files in their cloud service. The more information you can get on your users, the better. Why do you think they gave Windows 10 away for free? Was it because they wanted to be nice guys?
Companies are never "nice guys", not unless they screwed something really bad and are trying to do damage mitigation. Anyways, look at it like this. When they released Windows 10, existing user had:
a) Windows 7 - which is considered very good and it's unlikely that anyone would have payed money to upgrade
b) Windows 8.1, which despite its weird UI, is at the core a good OS. Also, it's fairly recent, so again not many would pay to upgrade
So, I'm not sure they actually gave much away. As for the spying garbage they put into the OS, AFAIK it can be disabled, no?
What they gained? This. Having the reasoning to cut on maintenance of older versions of the OS.
It will not come to you any faster because you pre-ordered it, nor will the publisher run out of copies. When you pre-order you simply give the publisher your money in advance, and have to cross your fingers that what you get is good. Why did you pre-order ?
I've watched every interview and gameplay footage they released so far, and i'm convinced it's something i will enjoy. Pre-ordering just makes me more excited for the release date.

To be honest they are just creating a random plastic toy(or otherwise digital gimmick) , which enables you to justify doing a pre-order. I'm not saying the item is necessarily worthless, I'm just saying that they are trying too hard. Any limited edition of a video game is limited by design, and the purpose of that design is to get your money, fast, with a little extra on top for something that says made in China. Again I want to emphasize, if that plastic item has great value to you, I'm not saying it's wrong to buy, but don't make any mistake believing it's not a pre-order.
Oh for sure, but depending on the mixing of the fanbase of Total War and Warhammer, they might not be wrong that preordering will be the only way to get said plastic toy.
Though if you look at the High King stuff they're definitely better than generic plastic stuff. I think they're realising that with 3D printing, plastic bits aren't going to work as well. Pretty sure I read an article that someone created their own 3D printable model of a pip-boy and put it out for free.
I think you missed the part where they're talking about the "High King Edition," which is their collector's/limited edition version.
As it says on the website "The Total War: WARHAMMER High King Edition will be produced in a single, extremely limited run."
So yeah, they might run out of copies. Look at Fallout 4: Pipboy Edition.
