8K is yesterdays news. We're already preparing for the next-generation, 16K. Better hang on to the hype train because it's going fast! THE FUTURE!

I'm writing in 2017. Even 4k isn't standard yet and the hype for 8k started like few days ago, cause of newest monitor.

It was okay and that was the problem. Okay was not good enough so I told my friends to stay away from it. It had a *lot* of issues. As I think back on it I barely even remember playing it through - that alone is a sign that something just wasn't right.

After having seen the huge success of the RP mod for GTA5 I can see how this could work. However once you start adding people that are just in it for the ganking and no roleplaying then it just turns into a horrible gankfeast. The full PvP part worries me a lot, it doesn't take much to see how this can easily turn into a dreadful experience for players with few friends playing. We'll see how it turns out eventually.

What happened when a ten-year TF2 veteran tried to play OverwatchWhat happened when a ten-year TF2 veteran tried to play Overwatch

I never even played TF2 for that long, maybe 3-4 years and ended up close to 2000 hours. Unlike these people I was a qwtf/q3f vet. TF2 was just never that great imo, but there was literally nothing else that even came close to team fortress style gameplay. I've not played overwatch nor do I see myself doing it. I'm just getting too old(40) for that type of play.

I liked SWG, not going to lie but it had far greater issues than NGE. It had one of the most absurd grouping "systems" in probably any mmo I've played(at least up to *that* point in time). I remember it pissing me off so much that I literally rage quit and never turned back. What was so wrong with it? There was something about joining a group and playing some sort of solo-quest/mission type of game and flying cows forbid that you followed someone during it - they'd rage harder than a LoL player... That really killed it for me, beside that it was a really fun and deep game, with one of the most crazy macro systems I've ever seen in a mmo, at that point you could basically make a bot - in the game, legitimately!

People raged at you for following them because you were following somebody in a solo questing group and leeching their experience by being near them. Those groups were for people who wanted to quest alone but wanted the higher level missions the terminal gave you for being in a group.

You learn to have fun in games. That's about it.

you can learn having fun. I'm sure you know how to take cover, smoke out before moving from cover while your team suppresses the enemy, then when you make it across you do the same for them. I bet you also learned how important is team work. that's what keeps you alive.

I wouldn't rate it very high compared to "other" farming games. It does what it does fair enough.

No Man's Sky review snippet How much freedom does No Man's Sky give you?
It's a lackluster game that is missing quite a bit of content, stripped out of it before the launch. What we got is nothing like what they kept talking about for years. I blame it on consoles, obviously the game(internally) probably has all those features they were talking about. I'm certain it's a PC version of the game, consoles holding it back. I'm sure it wouldn't be in their best interest to release one version(PC) of the game far superior to the others(consoles). It's a 5/10 for me, way too pricey. If they sold it at $20 or so, I would have given it a 7/10 because of what it is.

It's truly quite a game. While I wouldn't put it on the level of previous games, like harvest moon, however it does a fine job being quite entertaining to play. I've played it for well over 100 hours and several characters(this is really not needed, one character playthrough is more than enough). It has problems however like most games, just tiny things here and there, had a few nasty bugs at launch, one which caused my savegame to become corrupt(1.03).
