Killing my CO: two hours of chaos and confusion in SquadKilling my CO: two hours of chaos and confusion in Squad

I think you're obsessing over kills too much. I've had a few matches where I've killed what I consider to be an impressive amount of people but perhaps the most fun I've had so far was in a match where I drove a Humvee around the whole time. Moving into a position to support the infantry, coordinating and bullshitting with the gunner, driving around in a circle in a poppy field surrounded by low walls while half a dozen of explosions go off around you and the gunner shrieks in terror... Good fun.Reply

This guy gets it. I play almost exclusively as a medic and my best moments are joking around with the guys I'm trying to revive. Other times I'm watching the entire squad go down and take the 50/50 chance of clearing out an area to revive just enough of them. Hilarious moments ensue.

I think it's fair claim. Elite: Dangerous was bare-ones on release and somewhat still is. Grinding up to the Imperial Clipper was an incredible chore. I can't imagine ever going back to the game.Reply

It's a scam title

Oh, I'm one of the ones who participated in that survey. I've had a 1440p monitor for two years, though I just upgraded two months ago to a new 1440p monitor with gsync and 144hz refresh rate. Can't imagine going to 4k in the next couple of years. Maybe 2020.Reply

Couldn't agree more, like I said to Dave James 2k monitors are the sweet spot for gaming atm.

I loved Sudden Strike 2. That and Starcraft were the games that first got me into strategy games and PC gaming in general. I'm liking the sound of making due with what you have and the slower paced gameplay, but I'm really not liking the idea of the fixed camera. And the fact that it's coming out on consoles makes me very worried it won't have the depth it should. I want to get excited but... I'll just wait and see.Reply

I think APRM was a lot better than SS2.

agreed on the fixed camera bit. though I honestly don't think I'd ever go back to Sudden Strike or Company of Heroes after having spent a bit of time in Men of War, while their engine is a bit dated, the combat is still miles better than anything else in the WW2 strategy genre. the Direct Control feature is just too damn awesome.

the devs would need to seriously add some comparable features to even get my interest. especially after that disaster that was SS3.
