Their definition of 'abuse' is a little loose unfortunately https://imgur.com/gallery/ITZ7p
I think that's pretty simplistic, the render distance in minecraft is GPU bound, the speed of a game of dwarf fortress is CPU bound.
Fidelity of the same old game spaces at the same old scales isn't whats interesting about advances in graphics tech, it's scale.
Yes, but we don't have the technology for scale right now, only fidelity. Fidelity is what's driving our graphics. Not scale. Scale is more often CPU-bound, after all. I know that you're trying to be clever, but your point is moot.
That you think scale comes from graphical hardware shows a distinct lack of understanding of how the hardware works. You want fidelity enhanced scale, not just scale. Which brings me back to my point.
well it's trying to be a walled garden peripheral for the pc, which is worse
Closed, walled garden, and anathema to what the PC is as an open platform with multiple store fronts and much in the way of consumer rights and privileges.
And will likely bring it back the next time Luckey has another mood swing when he thinks he isn't making enough money.
Why is anyone buying a Rift, again? A Vive or an OSVR I can understand, but a Rift? Why would anyone do that?
What modules?? There all integrated together and have been for about 6 months so things work together
except that presumably overwatch does in fact feature aimbot detection. The reason for that snap with tools is that it's the fastest way to put your cursor on someone, at some point a particularly skilled player can only be distinguished from tool assists by close analysis. Shooting your mouth off that someone is cheating without that analysis is the problem at some point surely?
Well, those honour bound pros who did mouth off have resigned, so.... yes
