Works great on my PC with mostly High settings and a couple of Very High and Medium settings. GTX 780 Ti/i7 6700K. Still a couple of updates behind on my graphics drivers but happy with performance without them.
£576 is without sales tax/VAT.
£576 + 20% VAT = £691.00
Actually it includes local sales tax. Valve just don't bother removing it before converting to GBP, instead they make a direct conversion of the US retail price.
This way they get to keep the difference and we get to pay more tax as a result of an inflated pre-VAT price.
Yay for unfair pricing. :D
Correct, the Fall Update (which is due out in November) will indeed let you use your Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 key to activate Windows 10. If one is in need of changing motherboard right now, then just keep using the non-activated Windows until then.
You haven't tried it I can tell, I have yet to see anyone that had not see one in their future. It's amazing.
My Corsair mechanical keyboard doesn't have a numpad - and I really don't miss it.
Haven't quite found the perfect settings on my PC (i5-2500K overclocked to 4.6GHz with a factory overclocked GTX 780 Ti) just yet.
Seems to mostly hang around 43-60fps according to FRAPS when I just walk out of Franklin's house and stand looking down the road. Only textures, shaders, post fx and tessalation are set to Very High. Everything else is set to High apart from MSAA (off), DoF (off), Motion Blur (off)
You might have the steam launcher version problem. You could try getting the social club launcher.
It has a problem switching from laptop integrated to nvidia drivers for me. I have to disable the nvidia ones till i launch the game.
Currently playing on a 60" screen via the laptop, and Ive been stuck on this damn freeway for the last 30 minutes.
I don't have the Steam version and I'm using the Rockstar Social Club launcher but will give that method a try tonight as a couple of other people have suggested this. Hopefully Nvidia/Rockstar will fix this issue with Optimus systems eventually.
Installed the new Nvidia graphics drivers for this game and left the launcher open overnight so it would unlock ready for a quick session before work. Came downstairs to find that the launcher wasn't open any more.
Booted up the launcher again and got "Grand Theft Auto V Launcher has stopped working" and this happens every time I try to open it.
Saw there was a problem for some people caused by the username which they log into their PCs with. Tried loading it after logging in with a alphanumeric only username account with full admin rights and the same thing happens.
Guess I'll have to try uninstalling and reinstalling the whole damn 60GB of files again to this PC.
