I still think it is worth to wait a bit more! Seems like some systems are not finished yet.
Two years later this guys comment is still accurate to its current state.
currently: a dumpster fire of broken dreams and randy pitchfords failures.
speed is referring to the distance the player travels per second/tick whatever. Camera angle can change, but the rate at which you traverse the world is not altered due to that.
Someone has been watching a little too much of extra credits.
And someone doesn't know math.
This "distance" you're speaking of, in what units is that measured? Meters? Did you know that 3D worlds have no intrinsic size, it is whatever the programmer decides? The old Doom for example didn't use meters, it use a unit (corresponding to texture pixels) where e.g. most walls were 128 high (pixels, not meters, inches, centimeters, whatever). The camera was placed 42 such units above the ground. If instead of 42 they would have used 84, the world would now have looked half the size, and you would feel like your forward speed is half as slow. In Quake 1 it was 56 units. Quake 3 and later games even higher. etc.
Not really, siege is flourishing because of this.
Lucio's only role is to be a heal battery, any accidental damage he can deal is just extra. His heals are so broken, even after the 10% nerf he is still part of the meta due to it.
Because an aura heal that can impact everyone is always going to be useful and easy to use.
Don't argue Lucio can't deal damage if YOU can't deal damage as Lucio. Also, dealing damage is only part of Lucio's role, you control the match flow by switching healing and speeding on the right times, amplifying on the right times too, positioning yourself when needed and pushing the enemy team off critical spots.
Shitty Lucios, shitty Lucios everywhere.
Lucio in three steps:
1. stay near team
2. avoid damage while maintaining your boost or heal aura as needed. Thankfully you don't have to aim your healing support, meaning that even if you never shoot you are constantly healing because blizzard thought that was a great idea in a game about skill.
3. contribute little to no dps because his sound cannon is super situational. Hope you get a map with a cliff edge.
I'm not a great overwatch player but I can safely tell you that he is the easiest choice for support. His footage is cherry picked at best and while he does show remarkable movement skill, most of it is just lucky shoves and people playing dumb against him.
Clearly this is PC gamers just being elitist. No, this is console players trying to pretend there is a war in skill going on. No one cares that you use a slower method of playing the games, no one cares that your games require autoaim in the settings because using analog sticks to aim is clunky at best. But every time someone mentions that it is inferior to mouse and keyboard with raw input and the accuracy to be able to do so. One of you chimps crawls out of your crate and goes "but muh ecks box pee ess four" like it matters.
I'm staggered you tried to make it look like PC gamers are "whatever" and console players are trying to start a war. Because no way in hell you actually believe what you're saying. I've been primarily a PC gamer for years, I consume PC gaming-related content ever since and ALWAYS it's about a PC gamer douchbag rubbing elitism on the face of others.
This isn't about "chimps" rumbling like you mentioned. It's about guys challenging him to do the same on PC as he did on console, and guess what? He did.
And I can see you're not great at Overwatch at all. "His sound cannon is super situational", yeah, the situations being a) If the enemy is close-to-mid range or b) If he don't have a lot of mobility. C'mon, if you can't deal a decent amount of damage with Lucio you're wasting a character slot, and I know this because until not long ago I was main Lucio. Also, pushing the enemy team is a big part of playing Lucio. So if playing Lucio is this easy I'm eager to see you reaching his rank playing only Lucio, it shouldn't be that hard.
OMG I'm impressed with how bad people here on comments understand how Lucio works. Is this all just to still be an elitist PC gamer? Is this really a thing you're all proud of being?
