Key resellers now let you gamble for game codes - pay £12.69 for a 50% chance at PUBGKey resellers now let you gamble for game codes - pay £12.69 for a 50% chance at PUBG

"If you buy two tickets, you’re guaranteed to get PUBG and a random game. "

Nope, it'll be the typical '50% chance of getting the game you want' for each ticket. I wouldn't be surprised if there's also computer math going on in the background to weight it towards the cheap no-name product.Reply
Richard Scott-Jones Avatar

The sentence I was working from is in the 'product active notice' section at the bottom of the Ts and Cs:

"If you add this product in your cart two times, you’ll get the product no matter what – and even get the complementary product as well."

The rest of the announcement is horribly written and unclear, so I totally get your scepticism :-/

I'm sorry, Fall of Cybertron was excellent. It, along with the Prime TV series, is the only properly decent thing to happen to the license outside of comics for years.

What, no Hotel Escape from Call of Cthulu: Dark Corners of the Earth?

The game was ropy as a whole, but this bit was pants-wettingly terrifying!

12 cores running at a base clock speed of 2.9Ghz = more theoretical cumulative power (34.8) than 10 running at 3.3Ghz with less heat generated and power consumed per core.

The Turbo rating of the 12-core isn't available yet, so the claim that 'it won't hit the 4.3Ghz of the 10-core' is also spurious - we don't know.

Yes, single threaded or programs that only address a few cores out of the box on't see any significant improvement, but you get more overall power when running stuff that will address all of the cores, such as virtualisation or CAD/3D & Video Editing/Encoding.Reply
patulian007 Avatar

It's a misconception that CAD are core intensive which is clearly not true. It obviously differs from Software to Software. But Majority are Clock intensive & depends on single threaded performance. FYI check any Autodesk Inventor benchmark & you will see what I am saying.

Selling Hitman with IO is the only way to get any value from it what-so-ever, given the only other things that can be attributed to it are Kane & Lynch & Mini Ninjas...Reply
MadXav Avatar

To befair the first Kane & Lynch was a pretty good co-op game.

Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition is a handsome remaster, but it's no substitute for a sequelBulletstorm: Full Clip Edition is a handsome remaster, but it's no substitute for a sequel

Bollocks. The only reason most people want this is because the original licensing agreements are a quagmire and as a result, the original isn't likely to be updated to make it backwards compatible for consoles or strip out Games for Windows: Live from the PC version.

Nobody really cares for the stuff Gearbox are adding - they just want a working game again. That Pitchford shot down anything like a loyalty discount for existing PC owners using the existing licensing deal as an excuse basically sealed the deal in most eyes - £10 on sale at best.

Heck, it's not like 'but you won't get to play as Duke' is a deal-breaker these days...Reply

And I'm a much bigger fan of Steve Blum, anyway...

Why I'm addicted to buying random Steam keysWhy I'm addicted to buying random Steam keys
Optimaximal Avatar
Another good source of random dross is Steam Gifts (www.SteamGifts.com) - devs or indie publishers often dump piles of keys for random tat on there to push it post-Greenlight with a good chance of winning because of the volume of keys dished out by the RNG.

If anything, even if it's a load of drek, you can use a Card Idler to get a few pennies back for your Steam Wallet.

Dell U2717DA review: a beautiful, floating panel with an unfortunate pro-level price tagDell U2717DA review: a beautiful, floating panel with an unfortunate pro-level price tag

Dell usually use a standard mounting system across all their monitors - surely you can acquire the arm separately (for £X) then attach it to another more suited Dell screen?

Heck, do they have any G-Sync monitors under the Alienware brand?
