I feel Tendos Skyrim redone, fallout wanderers edition, and project nevada are all worthy of this list.
"We find the language these 'Nazi' characters were using in your documentary to be extremely anti-semetic and offensive" - the Internet in 10 years
Those arrow tracers have to go! Horrible!
*sniffle* they grow up so fast.
Seriously though, anyone that's been playing this game for awhile it's amazing what it's turning into. Best early access ever?
Problem with GG (other than it lacking any concrete evidence of actual wrong doing) is its focused on games journalism. Anything written about it will just be seen as part of the conspiracy by the GG believers.
I can't speak for within the industry but as for games themselves I wrote this at the beginning of the year and things haven't changed an awful lot since then..
Ok what part of the US do you live in that you were taught that? I live in the midwest, considered to be the more conservative part of the country and not once have I had a single adult figure growing up tell me anything of the sort. In fact, I can't think of a single couple where both the man and woman didn't work, I mean it's not the 50's anymore.
Edit: just to add I actually know more stay at home fathers than stay at home mothers
Maybe "taught" was the wrong word. I guess "implied" would have been better.
I'm sure I'm going to get blown up for saying this but statistically a person with a carry permit is far less dangerous than the rest of society, you're about 3 times more likely to be shot by a cop in fact. If someone is going to commit a shooting they aren't getting a permit and then allow themselves to be searched by police (open carry means they would have to display their firearm anyways). So let's not make this a referendum on carry laws which get less restrictive all the time while violent crime continues its 20 year decline.
While in all likelihood these threats are being made by some pathetic loser with no intent of actually carrying them out it would be nice to see one of them get brought to justice, maybe scare some sense into these people. While I probably disagree with a lot of what she has to say I hope she finds a way to take her life back and keep spreading her message.
I won't touch the first part because I don't want to get into that.
To your second point, I think you're right. This is just somebody looking for attention. I don't think anything was going to happen either.
As someone who used to work electronic retail this isn't surprising at all. It's easy to get caught in the gamer bubble and think everyone who buys video games is reading games sites and is up to date on the latest news. I had plenty of customers, predominantly young women with their parents, buy games like The Sims, (OK it was always The Sims) that had no idea what Steam was.
I don't think people realize that most "betas" done now are marketing tools more than anything, so when an actual alpha that needs fixing comes around its like they got ripped off because it's not as polished as the one level of a Battlefield game that's a month away from release anyways.
Aye. "Marketing Betas" are an awful thing.
Did he try accessing it on a different computer? Having hardware compatibility issues is pretty common with early alpha stuff (and seriously it's probably the xfire) why wouldn't he try it on a machine it's working on and evaluate it from there?
I'm afraid I only have the one gaming PC.
Since writing the article RSI have been in contact and we're working to get SC working on my PC. I'll have an updated post together if we can get the game running.
