“To put it simply, I haven't fully enjoyed playing Overwatch for awhile now,”
Has anyone really? Havent touched it since the beta. Its just more of the same we already got it looks pretty but i feel like the rich setting and interesting characters blizzard populated it with are wasted on a an otherwise pretty bland fps.

I think their claims that the 2 months delay on PC version is to polish it is bullshit. They are ringfencing a console release because if it was less than 2 months people would wait to have it on PC instead.

I wonder if this is because of the frivolous lawsuit by Harmony Gold rather than anything else?

And yet evidence points to the contrary how much they might have "borrowed" during the development.

Which is approximately nothing you fucking moron. Classes like "assault" and "gunslinger" have been around long before Overwatch. Team based shooters have been around before Overwatch. This game looks nothing like it, plays nothing like it, and was in development before it. Are you by chance 15?

Did Overwatch really need another clone? To think that trailer looked so good they didnt even bother changing some classes and pretty much straight up lifted them from overwatch with min changes. I hope Blizzard sues their Ass.Reply
Ananym Avatar

LB development began before overwatch, those classes included. It isn't a clone chronologically or in concept.

Why LawBreakers is the first post-Overwatch shooterWhy LawBreakers is the first post-Overwatch shooter
Xerkics Avatar
The gameplay might be slightly different but a lot of characters are literally clones of overwatch characters with minor alterations.Reply
Droniac Avatar

Not really. There are only two classes that can be called clones, with (significant) alterations:

Enforcer can be seen as a clone of Soldier 76. The primary weapon is very similar and the support field ability is similar as well.

Gunslinger is partially a mix of McCree (dual pistols, one long-range) with Tracer (short-range teleport ability + one automatic pistol).

All the remaining classes play nothing like anything in Overwatch. Although a few may look otherwise at first glance when looking at just the visual design:

Wraith looks a bit like Sombra, but plays completely differently.

Assassin is a melee DPS, but any similarity to Genji ends there.

Battle Medic flies around and can heal allies, but plays nothing like Mercy.

The gameplay is more than slightly different. Lawbreakers is a FPS that focuses on individual skill in a team-based format. Overwatch is a FPS that focuses on teamplay while offering some avenues for individual skill. In Lawbreakers the emphasis is much more on killing the enemy, the pacing is much higher, abilities aren't nearly as powerful, matches are much shorter and more frantic, etc.

Middle-earth: Shadow of War will have microtransactions but content will not be gatedMiddle-earth: Shadow of War will have microtransactions but content will not be gated
Xerkics Avatar
Full price game like this should have no micro-transactions . Content locked behind a pay gate like that its exactly what that is. No matter how you put it. It sounds like the ingame currency to unlock them will be few and far between.Reply
NihlusGreen Avatar

You can bet that the balance has been altered in some way to accommodate the "extra" content.

Bluehole say PUBG player banned for stream sniping was lobby hopping to try to secure killsBluehole say PUBG player banned for stream sniping was lobby hopping to try to secure kills
Flappers Avatar
It's fairly obvious what Bluehole and PU care about, and that's the dollaroo. Streamers bring in players, and viewers, which all adds up. If they piss off a streamer, then they lose that viewership.
So they'll believe anything that comes out of their mouths. Insta-banning without due process is proof of this.

What's worse is that they have clearly accepted that the report system is being abused by streamers. While they actively get their viewership to report players, Bluehole and PU are accepting it.

How can they have those rules in place? Allowing streamers to abuse the reporting system, while systematically banning anyone that they do report?

Hardly a fair way to handle players. Giving streamers higher privileges in their game, while the regular player gets shitted on if they are unlucky enough to land in a server with a child-streamer who throws his mouth off whenever he gets killed.

"OH NOES THEY KILLED ME, BUT IM BETTER THAN THEM, THEY MUST BE CHEATING OR STREAM SNIPING"

Dota 2 review snippet How's your Russian coming along?
The game focuses too much on inventory management rather than actual gameplay. IF you want a good moba play Heroes of the Storm it goes away with gear and focuses on actual team play.
