Well he's retired so he's not making millions of dollars for falling down and clutching his knee anymore
And yet evidence points to the contrary how much they might have "borrowed" during the development.
Which is approximately nothing you fucking moron. Classes like "assault" and "gunslinger" have been around long before Overwatch. Team based shooters have been around before Overwatch. This game looks nothing like it, plays nothing like it, and was in development before it. Are you by chance 15?
LB development began before overwatch, those classes included. It isn't a clone chronologically or in concept.
Not really. There are only two classes that can be called clones, with (significant) alterations:
Enforcer can be seen as a clone of Soldier 76. The primary weapon is very similar and the support field ability is similar as well.
Gunslinger is partially a mix of McCree (dual pistols, one long-range) with Tracer (short-range teleport ability + one automatic pistol).
All the remaining classes play nothing like anything in Overwatch. Although a few may look otherwise at first glance when looking at just the visual design:
Wraith looks a bit like Sombra, but plays completely differently.
Assassin is a melee DPS, but any similarity to Genji ends there.
Battle Medic flies around and can heal allies, but plays nothing like Mercy.
The gameplay is more than slightly different. Lawbreakers is a FPS that focuses on individual skill in a team-based format. Overwatch is a FPS that focuses on teamplay while offering some avenues for individual skill. In Lawbreakers the emphasis is much more on killing the enemy, the pacing is much higher, abilities aren't nearly as powerful, matches are much shorter and more frantic, etc.
You can bet that the balance has been altered in some way to accommodate the "extra" content.
