QuakeCon 2016 confirmed for next August

QuakeCon

QuakeCon 2016 will be held from August 4th – 7th at the Hilton Anatole hotel in Dallas, Texas, Bethesda have announced. Once again, the event will feature all the elements that make Quakecon so popular, including panels, tournaments, and the QuakeCon BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) event.

Studio Director Tim Willits will hold the annual QuakeCon Welcome Presentation. “The event is a true ‘grassroots’ organization; founded by only a group of fans and volunteers 20 years ago,” said Willits. “The event is still supported by fans of id Software/Bethesda and largely staffed by volunteers today. The event has grown and matured over the last 20 years but what has always remained the same is the spirit of community gaming; people coming together to play their favorite games with friends and family.”

Bethesda claimed that this year’s QuakeCon was the biggest yet, so they’ve got some work to do if 2016’s is to beat it.

If you’re a QuakeCon fan and fancy rocking up at the 2016 event, you can reserve your place at the Hilton Anatole here.
