Rainbow Six Siege Ember Rise has launched alongside a new Amaru and Goyo trailer

Amaru and Goyo talk up their adventures

The new Rainbow Six Siege season lands today, and if you haven’t been able to log in right alongside the Ember Rise release times, Ubisoft has a sort of consolation prize as you wait for whatever’s keeping you from diving in: a new trailer featuring the Indiana Jones-like exploits of the new operators, Amaru and Goyo.

The pair hit up a local bar, and it’s Amaru’s turn to pay – but she can’t, because she lost her wallet while recovering a stolen artifact from a band of mercenaries. This, of course, cues a flashback detailing the utility of the new Ember Rise gadgets. Goyo offers to pick up the tab, but Amaru’s just kidding. Then we all laugh into the sitcom sunset.

It’s been a quiet road to the Ember Rise release date. The launch came a bit later than we expected, and the announcement came with barely 24 hours worth of notice. But hey, it’s here now and that’s what counts, right?

The new update brings changes beyond the new features, most notably including some buffs for Fuze and Warden.

You might want to get practicing for those apparent KFC esports events, too. Ember Rise means some fresh changes for the meta, and there is chicken on the line.
