ReCore system requirements

Ahead of its release on September 13, ReCore just got a meaty PC stream, showing off the first 30 minutes or so of the metroidvania-style action platformer.

In a Twitch livestream, Microsoft’s Major Nelson and ReCore writer Joseph Staten talk us through the opening moments of the game, showing us its handholdy tutorial before teasing us with some of its lovely-looking open-world exploration.

It looks like it’s in the exploration where it’ll shine, but it’s going to be one of those games that’s difficult to judge from the opening moments. After all, it’s all underpinned by RPG systems and crafting, with the protagonist making and tweaking her robot companions as the game goes on, changing up their combat styles.

In the early stages, ReCore’s lock-on shooting and colour matching weakpoints don’t get me very excited at all. See it for yourself in the stream below:

As for those system requirements, you can see those below:

Minimum:

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Architecture: x64, X64
  • DirectX: DX11
  • Memory: 8GB
  • Video Memory: 2GB
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-4460, 2.70GHz or AMD FX-6300
  • Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon R7

Recommended:

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Architecture: x64, X64
  • DirectX: DX11
  • Memory: 16GB
  • Video Memory: 4GB
  • CPU: Intel Core i5 4590, 3.9 GHz or AMD Equivalent
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9

The game will support Cross Buy, so whether you buy it for PC or Xbox One, you’ll get a code for the other version. It also saves your game to the cloud, so you can continue your game on PC or console to suit your crazy lifestyle.

ReCore releases on September 13.
