Resident Evil 7 demo

After months of having been available on PlayStation 4, the Resident Evil 7 demo has now made its way to Steam. It’s totally free, and should now have unlocked in all time zones.

Thirsty for more on the new ResE game? Here’s everything we know about Resident Evil 7 so far.

Entitled Resident Evil 7: Beginning Hour, you’ll wake up alone on the floor of an abandoned farmhouse, and must find a way out as daylight fades.

The demo’s description reads “a thrillingly immersive horror experience for the five senses. This full model change to the frightening ‘Isolated View’ player perspective, and photorealistic graphics of the cutting-edge RE Engine mark a new beginning for survival horror. Enter a terrifyingly new world of horror and survive.”

The next Resident Evil game promises a return to the tense survival horror atmosphere that made the franchise’s name. User reviews are 83% positive, with players enthusing over the tense atmosphere, immersive visuals and lack of ammunition. Users report good performance, with one running a GTX 970.

Surprising no one, the demo will apparently contain scenes of horror and violence, with content that “may not be” suitable for children.
