You expect a remastered game to look better than its original, sure. But take a long and hard look at the new and improved Rogue Trooper, because damn, it is now a thoroughly great-looking game thanks to the wonders of modern technology.

We also now have a release date for Rogue Trooper Redux: October 17.

Rogue Trooper not your thing? Here’s a list of other upcoming PC games.

Rogue Trooper Redux’s latest trailer shows a comparison of the original game’s cinematics alongside the much-improved cinematics in the remaster:

Many remasters settle for a bump in the texture quality but Rebellion has actually remodelled the game’s characters, weapons, and vehicles to add an extra level of fidelity.

One thing that is a bit of a shift in this remaster is that we see just how veiny Rogue Trooper’s abs were always meant to be. I mean, the original game had as much definition as graphics of the day could muster, but this modern remaster makes them look practically varicose.
