Scribblenauts Unlimited European release date mysteriously delayed til 2013

Scribblenauts has been one of the best things around for years, but it hadn’t been a PC thing until the release of Scribblenauts Unlimited in the US this week. It’s also out in Australia next week, but Europe’s been left bobbing despondently in its various oceans with nothing but a poxy “early 2013” promise for company. What’s worse is that it’s due to factors “outside of development”.

When asked on NeoGaf whether the delay was due to ever-present localisation issues, a 5th Cell developer replied: “Nope”.

“It’s due to stuff I can’t talk about until 2013. Scribblenauts and Super Scribblenauts were released NA and EU the same day. Trust me. I want your money. It’s due to things outside of development.”

Sigh. Scribblenauts really is the loveliest puzzle sandbox you could imagine, and this one comes with full Steam Workshop integration. How’re you finding it, North American chums?

Thanks, RPS.
