Indie studio Might and Delight, developers of Shelter and Pid, want your games. Specifically, they want to publish them with a goal of finding “more indie gems” that they can guide to launch.
“Richly engrossing and stimulating game concepts and ideas have been known to come our way occasionally, but we never really had the resources to throw our full weight behind them until now,” said Vic Bassey, COO at Might and Delight. “There is an immense amount of top quality talent out there and we would love to help some of those see the light of day by offering our support and services as a publisher.”
It’s an unusual move, given that the studio cancelled their last game, Child of Cooper, only this month. Might and Delight explained that interest in the trailer was not great, and despite only being three months away from launch, they didn’t anticipate being able to recoup their time and investment.
Given the studio’s financial situation, which is apparently not great, and its small size, I’m surprised they have the resources that Bassey says they have to invest in other devs’ games.
