Skyrim, Fallout: New Vegas among 100 best mods of the year – see the full list

From Fallout: New Vegas to Skyrim and Total War to Star Wars, here are Mod DB's best 2019 mods

Fallout

Sometimes a game’s best bits aren’t its vanilla form, but the silly, strange, or sensible things that modders do to them. As such Mod DB has rounded up the top 100 mods of 2019 that the community has voted for, and no, Gabe the Dog on Fallout pillows tragically isn’t one of them.

This list picks the best of the best mods. Many of these alterations are completely game-changing, literally. Like the best mod nomination for Napoleon: Total War, where the ‘The Great War’ mod transforms the game from Napoleonic era to WWI.

How about the mod for Star Wars Battlefront 2 – not the new one, the old one – which has a nomination for complete HD remaster? Or maybe the Skyrim Apotheosis mod which will let you hunt down the 16 Daedric lords? Maybe you’re more into the Halo: Combat Evolved ‘Single Player Version 3’ mod which simply improves everything in the game. If you’re a massive fan of Fallout: New Vegas, the ‘Fallout: New California’ mod which adds a whole new story is for you. You get the picture, there’s a mod for pretty much everyone, and their contents are rather impressive.

This list isn’t the end of Mod DB’s selection process, however. It’s actually just a step on the way to finding what the site’s users think is the number one mod of the year, and there is still time to vote, so if you’d like to have your voice heard in the mod world, now is your chance. You can vote here.

We have our own opinions on the best mods out there for Skyrim, Halo, and Fallout: New Vegas but Mod DB’s list is solid too. The full list of the mods nominated can be found here, so go ahead and find something you might like.
