Extended Jedi: Fallen Order gameplay reveals what you didn’t see at E3

A much longer gameplay video is now available

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order gameplay footage made its debut ahead of E3 this year at EA Play, but the footage Respawn showed off on-stream wasn’t quite the whole thing. Press got to see a bit of extra action that was only hinted at in the game’s trailer, where Cal Kestus climbs aboard and commandeers an AT-AT. Now, EA has released a video that lets you see that sequence in full.

The new footage is all frontloaded, so you can easily see the new stuff without skipping around. It opens with Cal swimming on Kashyyyk in pursuit of some amphibious AT-ATs covered in moss and mud. He hops aboard one, climbs around the debris Uncharted-style, then infiltrates the walker, kills some imperial troopers, and takes command of the vehicle for himself.

After you get a bit of fun shooting the Imperials with oversized guns, you get introduced to Forest Whitaker’s Saw Gerrera, and much of the cast of Resistance fighters on Kashyyyk. Notably, this segment shows off optional dialogue sequences and a bit more exploration, including the ship and galaxy map you use to travel back and forth between planets.

After Cal heads out to meet Saw, we even get a bit more on the non-linear exploration hinted at by the developers, complete with the Metroid Prime-style map that only made a brief appearance in the first video.

You can see it all in the full video above.
