Today at noon Eastern / 5 PM UK (just a few minutes away!), the round of 32 in Europe’s WCS Premier League continues with BabyKnight, Ret, ThorZaIN, and Welmu competing to advance to the round of 16. It’s an all-European group featuring some incredibly seasoned, accomplished players.

Team Liquid’s Joseph “Ret” de Kroon brings a lot of experience to this round, with roots stretching back to Brood War, but his last Ro32 appearance in WCS ended poorly with elimination at the hands of Strelok and TitaN.
Marcus “ThorZaIN” Eklöf also suffered a Ro32 knockout last season, and his results for the past several months have been disappointing. Both Ret and ThorZaIN have a chance to slip through against the fairly green Vesa “Welmu” Hovinen and less accomplished Jon “BabyKnight” Andersen.
At the exact same time tomorrow, LucifroN, Bly, uzer, and NaNiwa compete within their own group. Pedro “LucifroN” Moreno Durán was dominant in Europe last year, but he turned in an undistinguished WCS performance last season, eliminated in the Quarterfinals, and at both DreamHacks so far this year. Johan “NaNiwa” Lucchesi is on a good run, racking up podium finishes at both MLG Spring and DreamHack Stockholm. Plus, you know. God knows what will happen when NaNiwa is around.
