Steam charts: most popular games, 23-1 March, 2019

What are the best-selling games in the Steam charts in week 8 of 2019?

Steam charts dead or alive

Just as we’ve started to catch our breath from February’s finale of game releases March has strolled along and knocked the wind out of us all over again. Team Ninja’s Dead or Alive 6 landed on the Steam store on March 1 and wasted little time in taking three spots in the top ten. Also pitching up is Madruga’s Dawn of Man, which released on the same day. Elsewhere, we have an exceptional 50% discount on Assassins Creed Odyssey, and the impending Devil May Cry 5 release is causing a significant enough buzz to also find itself in the top ten.

All these deals and gems aren’t the easiest to keep on top of. But that’s okay because every week we jump into Steam’s top sellers and games by concurrent players chart and round them up for you. While it does allow us to catch significant new trends in PC gaming, it also allows us to spot some juicy bargains to spend our riches on during the weekend.

There’s a delicate balance of chuffing good deals this week alongside some new releases. In two cases, there are even new releases that are on sale – madness! On the concurrent players list the titans are duking it out and trading places as they do. Now that we have picked ourselves up, here’s what’s doing the business on Steam this week.

Steam Top Sellers

Here are the Steam top sellers, week ending March 1:

  • Dead or Alive 6 Digital Deluxe Edition with Bonus
  • Dawn of Man
  • Devil May Cry 5
  • Hearts of Iron IV: Man the Guns
  • PUBG
  • Sid Meier’s Civilization VI: Gathering Storm
  • Assassins Creed Odyssey
  • Dead or Alive 6 with Bonus
  • DOA6 Season Pass
  • Hearts of Iron IV: Mobilization Pack

Dead or Alive 6 is proving to be very much the latter this week and has pinched the top spot, alongside the eighth and ninth spots to boot. Fellow debutant Dawn of Man is also sitting pretty in second place, and shares some commonality with Dead or Alive as they’re both on a deal and a new release. Devil May Cry 5 is building up some healthy hype before its release next week and Hearts of Iron IV: Man the Guns has also picked up some steam since releasing this week.

PUBG and Civ 6 have also held steady in the last couple of weeks and have remained on the charts. Rounding up are other entrants Assassin’s Creed Odyssey with a honking great 50% discount and the Hearts of Iron IV: Mobilization Pack with a more significant discount of 60%.

STEAM CHARTS BY CONCURRENT PLAYERS

Here are the most played games on Steam, week ending March 1:

  • DOTA 2
  • PUBG
  • CS:GO
  • Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege
  • Grand Theft Auto V
  • Warframe
  • Team Fortress 2
  • Rust
  • Football Manager 2019
  • Sid Meier’s Civilization VI

We were inches away from a virtually unchanged top ten this week, but Football Manager 2019 has substituted itself with Sid Meier’s Civilization VI for a late change. Apart from that DOTA 2 is still in storming form thanks to community-created mod DOTA Auto-Chess, which is now being played by more than five million players.
