You don't have long to bag these eight Steam Deck games for $14.99 and save $234

There are some stunning games in this month's Humble Choice selection, including Persona 5 Royal, Banishers Ghost of New Eden, and Warpips.

Humble Choice Steam Deck August 2025.

One of the strongest months of Humble Choice in recent memory is in its final week, with Steam Deck owners able to pick up eight verified or playable games, including everything from the epic, 100+ hour JRPG Persona 5 Royal to the nostalgic tactical strategy game Warpips. The last full day to jump on this deal is Monday, 1 September.

The Steam Deck OLED is still happily occupying the top spot on our guide to buying the best gaming handheld, and each month, Humble Choice offers a great way to add Deck-compatible games to your Steam library for way under MSRP. We've recently debated whether gaming handheld prices are out of control, but the Steam Deck maintains its cheap price despite the market around it getting more expensive.

Breaking down the numbers, for just $14.99 / £11.49, you can save $234.93 / £200.19 against the total MSRP of this month's games on Steam.

There is no membership obligation with Humble Choice, meaning you can pay for one month, claim your games, and cancel your subscription at any time - the games are yours to keep forever. If a new set of games arrives that you don't like, or perhaps you own many of them already, you can also opt to skip a month. To grab your subscription, click on this link here.

Just like last month, we have six verified games and two playable ones. The most notable title is Persona 5 Royal, a huge JRPG with rich storytelling and tight turn-based combat. This series is ideal for anyone looking to sink countless hours into a new world, and you don't even need to have played any of the other games in the series to understand what's happening in it.

Elsewhere, Banishers Ghost of New Eden is an action-RPG from the team behind Vampyre, Life is Strange, and Jusant. This pedigree shows in Banishers, with its remarkably solid story, great visuals, and enjoyable combat.

Banishers also comes with great replayability, as key decisions will alter your story, so completionists will have plenty to do once the credits roll for the first time. Bagging Banishers and Persona 5 Royal in the same month means we're eating well when it comes to story-heavy games.

The final game I'll highlight is Warpips, an indie game that proudly displays its simplistic art style and old-school tactical gameplay front and center. It also has a fantastic soundtrack, and missions can be as short as 10-20 minutes, meaning it's ideal for the Steam Deck, especially if you're on the move.

While these games are all rated for the Steam Deck, you can also play them on other handhelds. If you're looking for a portable device with more power, check out our AOKZOE A1X review, and see how this new handheld sheds the awkwardness of its Windows operating system to be a more realistic Steam Deck competitor, even if it's expensive.
