Stella Sora uses a fairly simple element system, replacing common types like Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Dark, and Light with Ignis, Aqua, Terra, Ventus, Umbra, and Lux, respectively.

With each team consisting of just three characters, the role they play in a team is very important. Which role they're slotted into dictates the abilities they're able to use in the heat of battle. A Vanguard (or main damage dealer) is always worth updating or upgrading over the Versatile or Support units that comprise a team.

Paired with Freesia and Teresa, the best water team requires a bit of luck to piece together properly.

Without Chitose, Shimiao, who is otherwise an underwhelming character, partners up with Iris or Freesia, making supporting member Teresa the only one not easily replaced.

If you manage to snag top-tier damage dealer Gerie from the beginner reroll banner, you have the makings of a killer Terra team in Stella Sora.
