Street Fighter 5’s release date has been revealed

Street Fighter V release date

As well as revealing Dhalsim and announcing post-launch plans, Capcom have announced the North American and European release date for Street Fighter V. It’s not very far off, as it happens.

Come February 16, 2016, you’ll be able to get your calloused fighter’s hands on a copy of Street Fighter V. That’s a mere two days after the romantic day of the year, so you’ll probably be wanting a nice relaxing day breaking bones and beating up pals.

After launch, Capcom will release a further six fighters to the roster, and that’s just in 2016. All of them will be available for ‘Fight Money’. You’ll be able to earn this currency simply by playing the game.

The first method, ‘Daily Goals’, will task players with performing certain moves a specific number of times. The second method is levelling up your fighters, which is pretty self explanatory. Levels won’t mess up game balance, since they merely show how much time a player has put into the game.

For the impatient among you, there’s also the option to buy premium currency.
