Teamfight Tactics patch 10.9 notes – New Odyssey arenas, loads of balance changes

The ninth patch for Teamfight Tactics this year has hit the autobattler’s testing servers, bringing a bunch of new changes, tweaks, and goodies to the game. Let’s take a look at what’s in store for TFT patch 10.9!

First up, Riot just announced there are two new TFT galaxies on the way very soon, and they’ve both arrived on the game’s PBE for a round of testing. “In the next patch, we’re adding the Treasure Trove galaxy where every NPC is guaranteed to drop a loot orb, the studio says, adding: “The chance of getting the Treasure Trove galaxy will be much less than the others. We’re also experimenting with a galaxy that will add two-star champions to the carousel. You can check out both of these galaxies now on PBE.”

TFT’s latest update also brings three new Odyssey-themed arenas to the game – Odyssey Jinx Arena, Odyssey Malphite Arena, and Odyssey Yasuo Arena – which you can take a look at below thanks to Moobeat on Twitter. There’s also now a hefty batch of Champion and trait changes to get a look at, too, with buffs, nerfs, and changes across the roster.

Master Yi – changed

  • Ability healing per second changed to 12% from 25/50/200

Sona – buffed

  • Ability healing effect increased to 150/200/300 from 100/150/200

Shaco – nerfed

  • Damage from ability decreased to 200/225/250% from 300/325/350%

Jinx – buffed

  • Damage from ability increased to 125/200/750 from 100/175/750

Graves – changed

  • Duration of ability’s effect making enemy attacks miss changed to 3/4/5 seconds from 4 seconds

Fiora – changed

  • Duration of ability’s stun effect changed to 1.5/1.5/3 seconds from 1.5 seconds

Kha’Zix – buffed

  • Damage dealt increased to 200/275/500 from 175/250/400
  • Isolation damage bonus increased to 600/825/1500 from 600/825/1350

Malphite – buffed

  • Shield strength increased to 40/45/60% of maximum health from 40/45/50%

Twisted Fate – buffed

  • Damage from ability increased to 200/300/550 from 200/300/500

Leona – buffed

  • Ability’s damage reduction effect increased to 40/80/200 from 40/80/120

Rumble – buffed

  • Damage from ability increased to 350/500/1000 from 250/400/800

Ziggs (Tier 1) – buffed

  • Damage from ability increased to 300/400/700 from 250/325/550

Yasuo – changed

  • Ability has now got a range of three hexes

Chrono – changed

  • Chrono’s effect has been changed to “All allies gain 20% attack speed every few seconds”
    • 8 seconds (2 Champions)
    • 4 seconds (4 Champions)
    • 2.5 second (6 Champions)
  • Attack speed decreased to 15% from 20%
  • Bonus cooldown (6 Champions) decreased to 2 seconds from 2.5 seconds

Starship – buffed

  • Mana gained each second increased to 40 from 20

Vanguard – buffed

  • Bonus armour (2 Champions) increased to 125 from 60

Brawler – changed

  • Bonus health (2 Champions) increased to 350 from 300
  • Bonus health (4 Champions) decreased to 650 from 700

Infiltrator – changed

  • Ability changed: attack speed now gets refreshed on every takedown
  • Bonus attack speed (4 Champions) decreased to 75% from 80%
  • Bonus attack speed (6 Champions) decreased to 120% from 125%

Protector – changed

  • Maximum health shield (2 Champions) increased to 25% from 20%
  • Maximum health shield (6 Champions) decreased to 40% from 45%

Mech Pilot – changed

  • The trait no longer gives mana upon Super-Mech dying

Blaster – nerfed

  • Additional attacks (4 Champions) decreased to 5 from 6

Blademaster – nerfed

  • Chance of triggering extra attacks (6 Champions) decreased to 55% from 60%

Cybernetic – nerfed

  • Bonus (3 Champions) changed to [350 health and 35 AD] from [350 health and 50 AD]
  • Bonus (6 Champions) decreased to [700 health and 70 AD] from [750 health and 75 AD]

Celestial – nerfed

  • Healing effect (4 Champions) decreased to 35% from 40%
  • Healing effect (6 Champions) decreased to 60% from 65%

Star Guardian – nerfed

  • Mana granted (6 Champions) decreased to 50 from 60

Sorcerer – nerfed

  • Bonus (4 Champions) decreased to 40% spell power from 45% spell power
  • Bonus (6 Champions) decreased to 75% spell power from 80% spell power
  • Bonus (8 Champions) decreased to 120% spell power from 125% spell power

Dark Star – nerfed

  • Bonus (3 Champions) decreased to [20 AD and spell power] from [25 AD and spell power]
  • Bonus (6 Champions) decreased to [25 AD and spell power] from [35 AD and spell power]

Valkyrie – buffed
