The zombie-flavoured version of Team 17’s The Escapists is expanding today thanks to a free update. The Escapists: The Walking Dead now has a survival mode, pitting players against a herd of zombies and asking them to try and survive for as long as they possibly can.

The mode features three levels from The Walking Dead universe, which will be invaded by a massive herd of walkers, grunts, and legends. Controlling Tyreese, Abraham, or Michonne, players will have to stay alive as the horde stumbles their way through Meriwether, Alexandria, and Woodbury.
To help out, Team 17 have added new weapons to the game: a minigun, sniper rifle, and revolver. There’s also five new achievements to unlock, and new leaderboards to compete on.
If you’re a Skybound Insider, you’ll also be able to play as walker versions of all three characters, and also unlock the stun gun.
