After a bunch of free updates and a premium game pack, The Sims 4 is now getting its first expansion: The Sims 4 Get to Work. Unsurprisingly, this expansion will give hardworking Sims more ways to earn a living, with new careers as well as the opportunity to open up retail businesses.
Sims will be able to sport fetching stethoscopes while diagnosing exotic illnesses or just the common cold with the Doctor career path, or don their lab coat and create gizmos and perform experiments all in the name of progress (and silliness) in the Scientist career path.
If science isn’t their thing, there’s always the crime fighting path, where Sims can become Chief of Police.
Separate from career paths are retail businesses, from art galleries to bakeries. These shops and businesses can be designed just like a house, presumably meaning that you can sell art in a swimming pool or lovely cakes from a cupboard.
Along with the new careers, businesses and venues like hospital and police stations are… aliens. I’m not sure what the connection is between going to work and alien spotting, but hey, everyone needs a hobby, even the police or doctors.
The Sims 4 Get to Work will be popping into existence in April.
