THQ Nordic to show new games at Gamescom – one a sequel to a well-known horror

THQ Nordic have revealed their Gamescom plans ahead of August’s conference, and it seems like there’s going to be a couple of surprises.

Keep an eye on our upcoming PC games list for more future hits.

As well as Pirahna Bytes’ RPG ELEX, Battle Chasers: Nightwar, SpellForce 3, Aquanox: Deep Descent, The Guild 3, and Wreckfest, there are going to be two completely new games, say THQ.

One of these is a completely new franchise that’s described as an “open-world RPG” that’s set in a unique, post-apocalyptic universe. Oh, and it also has kung fu.

The second new announcement is a “new instalment of a well-known, mysterious and horrific IP.”

While THQ Nordic is nothing to do with the THQ of old, I’m still crossing all my fingers and toes that they’ve made a deal with GSC Game World to make a follow-up to STALKER. It certainly fits the description.

We’ll find out at Gamescom.
