How do you change your appearance in Throne and Liberty? There’s nothing worse than spending an hour or more in a character creator, only to see your perfectly crafted avatar turn into a hideous goblin in cutscenes and under different lighting. Even worse when that game is an MMO, meaning you’re stuck with a ghoul of a character for hundreds or thousands of hours. Luckily, Throne and Liberty has a way to edit your appearance – though it isn’t straightforward.
Do you have more questions about Throne and Liberty? If so, you should definitely take a peek at the best Throne and Liberty weapon combos before getting too far into your adventure. Once you get a handle on what weapon combo you want to focus on, you’ll probably want to jump into PvP – be sure to check out Throne and Liberty Twitch drops and how to claim them for some extra gear.
How to change your Throne and Liberty appearance
After completing the tutorial and arriving in the town of Kastleton, you’ll have access to the Mirror Boutique in the main menu (F11). Pulling it up will give different options for how to edit your character. Select Change Appearance to load the following options:
- Change Body Type (male/female)
- Randomized Appearance
- Designer Preset
- Easy Face Maker
- Share Appearance
All the options available to you in the initial character creation screen will also be available on the right-hand side.
Here, you can also edit outfits (transmog) with skins obtained from the Battle Pass.
That said, you will have to obtain an Appearance Change Ticket in order to save any changes made to your avatar.
How to obtain Throne and Liberty Appearance Change Tickets
Currently, we know of only two ways to obtain Appearance Change Tickets.
First, you can purchase them from the main shop found in the Shop for 25 Lucent, the currency obtained with real world money that varies in price based on region. At the moment, it isn’t possible to obtain Lucent from other areas to later spend on cosmetics.
Second, one Appearance Change Ticket is obtainable from level 19 of the Premium Battle Pass that concludes on October 31st 2024. The premium version of this pass costs 500 Lucent to purchase and comes with a wealth of other goodies, making it a bit more economical to pick this one up if you want to change your appearance.
It’s possible that there’s a late-game quest that awards an Appearance Change Ticket but we haven’t found one yet. We will update if we find one.
Thankfully, the Throne and Liberty system requirements aren’t too severe, so you shouldn’t have trouble viewing your handsome warrior man or beautiful warrior woman in great detail. Time will tell of this latest addition to the genre will make it one of the best MMORPGs of all time, but we do know for certain it’s one of the easiest on the eyes when it comes to character design
