Punch mechs for free this weekend in Titanfall 2

Titanfall 2 free weekend

Earlier today, I mentioned that Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was free for the weekend, and I entirely forgot that Titanfall 2 had a similar promotion underway. But now you know! And it’s much, much better.

Unlike Infinite Warfare, Titanfall 2 made it onto our list of the best FPS games on PC.

Titanfall 2 has shed its price on all platforms, temporarily, letting new pilots join the fray for the weekend. You’ll be able to take it for a spin without spending a penny until July 31. And while Infinite Warfare only lets you try out the multiplayer, the Titanfall 2 promotion includes some of the single-player campaign as well.

It’s a pretty good time to test your mech-piloting skills, as Respawn’s shooter has just received another piece of free DLC. Operation Frontier Shield includes two new maps and horde mode for four players where you and your chums will face off against waves of enemies and employ mode-exclusive upgrades.

And the good news is that, unlike with its predecessor, you’ll never need to worry about being left out of new modes, because all of the DLC, not just Operation Frontier Shield, is free.

You can start your weekend trial now by grabbing it from Origin.
