Titanfall devs hiring for sequel and new unannounced third-person project

Titanfall 2 Respawn hiring

Respawn Entertainment, they of Titanfall fame, have announced they’re hiring for two projects: the long-rumoured Titanfall 2, and an as yet unannounced game. The latter will be a step outside the Titanfall universe as it’s billed as a “new third-person action/adventure IP.”

If you liked Titanfall for the fact it was multiplayer-only, then good for you for having loads of mates. You and all your chums should enjoy our list of best MMOs.

The sequel to 2014’s multiplayer-only first-person shooty-bang-banger Titanfall was announced back in March last year, however there hasn’t been an inordinate amount of news to report since, besides the devs telling us just how good it’ll be and that it’ll definitely be worth the wait.

Time will tell on that front, but a job posting on Gamasutra outlines what Respawn are after. “We are now recruiting designers for two game development projects – a new game in the Titanfall universe as well as a new third person action/adventure IP,” reads the advertisement. “Respawn is seeking a Senior Level Designer to embrace and contribute to the project vision, breathing life into the gameplay world and helping define the moment to moment player experience.”

While I am looking forward to Titanfall 2, the prospect of a third-person game – given the fact Respawn was founded by ex-Call of Duty vets Jason West and Vince Zampella – sounds most exciting. One to watch for sure so keep an eye out from hereon in.
