The Creative Assembly have made ready the first of a trio of patches that will address issues that Total War: Rome 2 players have discovered in the days since launch. The first patch, which is available right now, deals with technical hitches that “2% of Rome 2 players reported”.

It’s a good thing Fraser wasn’t in that 2% with his Total War: Rome 2 review.

Head over and take a look at the patch notes for the full details on what this first of three patches will repair, but the main improvements to be seen revolve around boosting frame rates and solving problems with DX10. The patch is designed to deal with “a minority of cases but it’s a minority we remain very unhappy about and are doing all we can to get them in-game as fast as possible,” according to Creative Assembly.

The second patch is due as early as Monday, September 9th, and is currently undergoing internal testing to ensure it’s ready to be put into public beta.

Thanks, VG247.
