TT Games are (probably) going to Middle-earth and back again for LEGO The Hobbit

If you make something successful, always try and replicate it. Especially if you’re TT Games, who managed to replicate LEGO Batman 2 into LEGO Marvel Superheroes and make it even better in the process. It looks like their next project could well be doing the same with LEGO Lord of the Rings, with rumours of a LEGO The Hobbit game gathering ground.

LEGO website BrickFan has reported that boxes of new Hobbit LEGO sets are containing an advert for what appears to be a LEGO Hobbit game, with minifigs of Bilbo, Thorin and Gandalf sat next to a ‘Coming 2014’ title, as well as logos of PC and console platforms.

2014 would be the year that the final Hobbit film, There and Back Again, releases, and would set TT Games in prime position to release a game that covers all of Bilbo’s adventures from the Shire through to the Lonely Mountain and beyond. LEGO Lord of the Rings did pretty well for itself last year, so it makes sense for TT to go back into the fray, especially since the source material is hot right now.

Cheers, Shack News.
