Brian “Poshybrid” Vigneault, a World of Tanks Twitch streamer, has died from unknown causes during a 24-hour charity livestream.

The 35-year-old father of three was 22 hours into his stream on February 19, which was raising money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, when he disappeared from the stream for a cigarette break. He never returned.

Vigneault had been doing marathon streams over the course of a few weeks, and when he didn’t return viewers thought he had fallen asleep.

According to fans on his Twitch chat, he left the stream running at 3:30am CST and went for a smoke. Viewers at 11am CST assumed he had dozed off. At around 19:00 that night, one viewer saw him appear on Discord and sent him a message, but it was a detective who responded.

The detective told the concerned viewer that Vigneault had passed away. The identity of the detective was confirmed with a phone call to the Virginia Beach Police Department.

People have previously died during marathon gaming sessions. In fact, it’s a semi-regular occurrence in Korean PC bangs. The cause of death for Vigneault has not been confirmed, however.
