Ubisoft’s AI assistant Sam is out but has shut up about Watch Dogs 3

Ubisoft’s personal gaming assistant, Sam, is now available worldwide on your mobile device. Just download the Ubisoft Club mobile app from Google Play or the iOS app store, and you’ll find Sam ready and waiting to help you get more out of your Ubisoft games.

Sam will respond to typed or spoken questions about Ubisoft or its games, offering services from gameplay tips to stat-tracking to news (though obviously you should keep coming here for that). Sam’s launch trailer, which you can view below, gives a few examples: how many frags have you registered in Rainbow Six Siege? How should you counter a particular class in For Honor? What will Ubisoft show at E3? Sam can help.

…and so can we – on that last one, at least. We’ve vetted all this year’s major E3 rumours, so come see what will (probably) be announced.

On the Ubisoft blog, they also mention there are a few easter eggs to discover when asking Sam certain questions (“try asking it what you should cook for dinner,” they hint).

And on that note: when Sam entered open beta in January, someone thought to ask it whenWatch Dogs 3was coming out. It replied:

“Watch Dogs 3 is not finished yet, but from the last early build I tried it’s very solid. The dev team works wonders! Can’t wait for you to try it!”

As exciting as that is, it seems to have been removed from the new version. I just tried asking it when Watch Dogs 3 is coming out, if it’s in development, and if it will be at E3, and in each case Sam took a moment to think before wiping any trace of the conversation.
