Well, I never experienced this much trouble with the win7 update service as you mentioned. But the main point here is indeed to have full control over what updates to install and which not. The shops I worked for usually created their own Update Installers to deploy latest updates to machines.
I totally skipped win8 and have zero experience with it. So I can't say anything about how Updates worked there.
It would be okay to force updates on Win10 Home users but not Win10 Pro. Home is after all for people that have lesser to no experience. Not having control over Updates as Pro user is IMO unacceptable.
Honestly it would be best to just have it be like it's now by default, but allow users to change it...
Let's not forget what they did with Duke Nukem Forever too, huge disappointment for Duke fans. So yeah.
Yes, they're the same. Both are based on the tabletop game/the same universe. There was even an animated series based on it. It's Good to see it return to video games in some form.
