Valorant’s anti-cheat system, Vanguard, has been the subject of much discussion in the upcoming FPS game’s community recently, and now developer Riot Games is inviting players to help it find security issues within the software. The studio is offering players bounties of up to $100,000 for “high quality reports” that help it identify exploits “leveraging the anti-cheat kernel driver vgk.sys”.
In a post on HackerOne (via Blue’s News and VG 24/7), Riot says: “If you’re able to help us protect our players and their data by responsibly identifying new security issues for us to fix, you are awesome and we want to reward you.” Under a “Vanguard Bounty Opportunity” section, the studio says, in order to “reinforce our commitment to our players’ security, we are offering special bounties for up to $100,000 for high quality reports that demonstrate practical exploits leveraging the Vanguard kernel driver.”
The bounties range from between $25,000 and $100,000, depending on the nature of the exploit demonstrated, and any found must work on the latest version of Vanguard, the studio says.
Players will need to provide a “working proof of concept for the exploit that can be run by Riot Games along with a detailed report” to be considered for a bounty.

Valorant is currently in closed beta, with access granted by watching Valorant Twitch streams (which offer closed beta ‘drops’).
