If you still haven’t played through the first season of The Walking Dead then stop reading this post and go and play it. Yes, now. I don’t want to spoil anything and you will not be wasting your time.
Now, we may proceed to the trailer and the details of the second season.
The story picks up a few months after the events of season 1. Clem’s out and alone in the world trying to follow Lee’s advice as well as stay alive. You’ll be controlling her through the five episodes of season two (though it’s not clear if you will only control Clem).
“The Walking Dead: Season Two will continue the story of Clementine, a young girl orphaned at the outset of the undead apocalypse, now left to her own devices to seek safety and survive in a world gone mad,” write Telltale in the game’s blurb. “Now assuming the role of an ordinary child, players will struggle to outwit both the dead and the living in situations that will test their morals and control the flow of the story through their decisions and actions.”
Clearly, Telltale are keeping as much of the story as they can under wraps. We know only that the first episode is to be released soon, hopefully within the next few months. The series will run through 2014 but fingers crossed that the first episode will be in our hands by the end of November.
You can preorder the season through Steam.
