Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade storms Steam Early Access

Warhammer 40K Eternal Crusade

Warhammer’s latest third-person tactical MMO shooter has landed on Steam Early Access where it’ll focus “mainly on the core combat experience”. With Naughty Bear and Wet developer Behaviour Interactive at the helm, Bandai Namco will publish Eternal Crusade and have announced a summer date of arrival.

As it stands, Eternal Crusade will live on Steam’s Early Access initiative for “a number of months” in which time it’ll add “character progression, the strategic layer and territorial conquest”.

Come full release, Eternal Crusade is expected to offer players the choice of 20 sub-factions and hundreds of weapons and customisation options. A co-operative mode is planned also. At the moment, though, it’s very much about combat: class-based shooting between Space Marines and Chaos Marines in 16v16 bouts where you’ll nip around in vehicles and shoot ‘til you can’t shoot no more.

Here’s a new “in-engine” trailer to whet your whistle, however also see the recent dev livestream below for comparison’s sake:

Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade is £31.99/$40 until February 2on Steam Early Access, when it jumps to £39.99/$50 thereafter.
