In the 41st millenium, diplomacy is saying hello before you shoot an alien in the face. Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade won’t be an MMO where you can avoid conflict, with its five warring factions including the Space Marines and the Tyranids.
Even the planet it takes place on, Arkhona, is in a constant state of war. But it’s got mysteries and secrets, apparently, which is a good enough reason as any other to fight over it with guns and dark magic.
Developer Behaviour Interactive has put together a trailer to get you up to speed on the many activities (mainly killing aliens, though) you can get up to on your holiday in warn-torn Arkhona.
It certainly sounds like it’s got a lot of war going on, which is surely key to a Warhammer game.
A couple of months ago, the developer put up some alpha footage, but it was hard to really see what the game could become from such rough, early gameplay. It does already have Rhino tanks and jetpacks though.
Eternal Crusade is also doing a founders program, where you can buy into the MMO early, if that’s your cup of space tea.
