Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr is an action-RPG due out next year

Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr

Another day, another Warhammer game gets announced. This time, it’s NeocoreGames, the folks behind The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing, taking a crack at Games Workshop’s grimdark 40K universe, with Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor – Martyr.

Martyr’s an action-RPG that puts you in the shoes of a member of the Inquisition as you travel throughout the galaxy, involved in a secret war. Expect a persistent sandbox, with the game continuing after you complete the main story.

The sandbox will provide “years of constant entertainment, gradual development and a continuous flow of content that enriches the action-RPG gameplay,” explains NeocoreGames.

“There’s a reason why we chose the world of Warhammer 40,000: it’s intense, brutal, visceral – a perfect material for an action RPG,” said producer Zoltán Pozsonyi. “Working with Games Workshop, we’re doing our best to bring a high quality game to the community. We’re huge fans as well, so we care deeply about this game.”

It’s due out in 2016.

Cheers, IGN.
