Space Marine 2 length and how long to beat

Bringing an action-packed campaign, co-op PvE, and even PvP to the table, the Space Marine 2 length is much longer than you'd expect.

How long is Space Marine 2? It’s not common to see many blockbuster shooter campaigns these days, especially one that’s a sequel over a decade after its predecessor. Nevertheless, Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 offers just that and more, with a cinematic campaign and fully-fleshed out PvE and PvP modes to sink your teeth into.

Naturally, many are curious about the Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 length as a result. Don’t worry, you’ll be pleased to know that the co-op game offers a lot of brutal and bloodthirsty gameplay for you, even after you get hooked and beat all the Space Marine 2 missions.

How long is Space Marine 2?

From our experience, Space Marine 2’s campaign is 10-12 hours long, matching up very closely with the developer’s own estimations. If you are playing co-op, then you will likely be able to complete it faster, meanwhile higher difficulties will take you longer.

Given the focused story and unique gameplay encounters introduced in every mission, Space Marine 2 sticks around just long enough, quickly moving on before any single idea gets old. One moment you’ll be ground-pounding bugs with a jetpack and the next you’ll be warding off swarms with a flamethrower before they overwhelm you. You will also unlock new weapons as you progress through the campaign, so there’s always something fresh in each mission.

The best news is that this great campaign is buffed up by the Operations mode, a dedicated PvE co-op experience with six missions at launch. Each of these will take you upwards of an hour for your first time. Plus, with six classes to build, various Space Marine 2 weapons to level up, and tons of armor to collect, you can easily sink another 30 hours into Operations, if not more providing you don’t get fed up with the limited mission selection. Keep in mind that there are slight variations on repeat runs of the same mission, namely loot and enemy spawns.

The underrated PvP mode from the original also returns better than ever. Again, this features a leveling system so dedicated players interested in fighting other players will find a lot to enjoy in this mode, though it won’t be for everyone.

So, that’s what you can expect from the Space Marine 2 length. Although it’s not a live service multiplayer game in the traditional sense, the Space Marine 2 roadmap promises even more content coming in the future, such as new PvE missions, enemies, difficulty options, and even a horde mode. Be sure to catch up with our friends at Wargamer, who have excellent guides on Space Marine 2 enemies and Space Marine 2 classes, too.
