The PCGamesN Theatre talks from the inaugural W.A.S.D event are making their way onto our YouTube channel. While you could have caught the insightful chats in person or on Twitch, there’s now an easier way to get a decent dose of industry wisdom. One of the new talks that has just been made available is called ‘Diva presents Playable Futures – predicting the future of play’, and it features insights from several prominent industry figures.
Chaired by Diva chief strategy officer James Whatley, you’ve got Curve Digital CEO John Clark, Thunderful chief games officer Agostino Simoetta, and industry veteran and consultant Gina Jackson OBE. Curve Digital is a publisher of PC games you may recognise from The Ascent or I Am Fish, Thunderful is publishing upcoming games Lego Bricktales and Planet of Lana, and Jackson has spent time at studios such as Nokia, Eidos, and Sony.
The conversation kicks off around the topic of leadership in games and what that means in 2022. You’ve also got other issues such as embracing failure to learn from it, how technology is developing more rapidly than before, and communicating vision.
